| Confession and Repentance are very different!
You confess that Jesus is Lord
You confess you are a sinner, but that's only a confession...
Confession is to confess or acknowledge something or some wrong you have committed. Confession does not necessarily mean you stop doing it, it only means you acknowledge it.
You can acknowledge and confess something or some wrong 100's of times, but it's still attached to you because you have not repented and turned away from it...
Repentance means sorrowful - To be sorry and stop doing the thing or sin you are committing.
Psalm 78:17
But they continued to sin against him, rebelling in the desert against the Most High
Isaiah 64:5
You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways. But when we continued to sin against them, you were angry. How then can we be saved?
Repentance- Job 36:10
He makes them listen to correction and commands them to repent of their evil.
Isaiah 30:15
This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation,

and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
Matthew 4:17
